Pumpkin Season

Last year Tyler was too little to get excited about Halloween, dressing up and carving pumpkins. Well this year we carved a pumpkin for him while he napped and he was so happy when he saw it. I did have to use the fake tea light candle because he went straight to it grabbed it and smelled it...

It turned out cute, next year maybe he can carve his own design..

Since he is still obsessed with Mickey mouse...

We went to Vertuccio farm with Tyler he had a blast but I can't believe how hot it still is outside!!
They had a little train ride, trampolins, a few animals to pet and feed, corn mazes, slides and some other activities for kids..

What a cute little farm! It was a fun morning !!

Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul

One last post on Brazil.... lol  There was no way I could've combined everything, there was so much to see and do and I'm glad we were able to take this little 2 day trip..

We drove about 3 hours from my hometown Campo Grande. The name says it all Bonito (Beautiful). They offer several different tours and really you need to be able to stay there more than just a few days to be able to do a couple of different tours.

We stayed at Marrua hotel.. It was super nice and very affordable.

We first went to Balneario Municipal ( Mineral springs, or natural pool). We had lunch there, got food to feed the fish and snorkeled. The water was super cold and there were way too many fish around waiting to be fed.

The fish were flopping everywhere, it was super fun!!

After lunch we relaxed on the hammocks...

Next day we went to Estancia mimosa farm

Always running, he had a blast there...

We hiked and saw a total of six waterfalls with some amazing swimming holes.. We took turns holding Tyler, but it was around nap time so halfway through it he slept and slept most of the hike back. Poor Johnny had to carry him. It was a workout it was nice that the water was chilli to cool us off.

All the guys jumped off this water fall..

Tyler didn't really care for going inside this waterfall...

This waterfall was pretty cool inside, the reflection of the rocks and the water it was just so pretty inside..

We had to take a little boat to get to this other waterfall, what an adventure!! I kept thinking that it was going to tip over with all of us on there.

Kind of funny that one of the guys couldn't swim so we had to help him get back once he jumped in the water.. Johnny is pushing him...

After we hiked all the way back from all of the waterfalls, there was homemade lunch at the farm waiting for us.. It was so so so so delicious!!!

And there's a little bit of Bonito...

Porto de Galinhas, Brazil

I had to break our Brazil trip into parts, since we did a few different tours and visited a few different places. Looking back at the pictures it sure makes me miss Brazil already...

Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco
It was about an hour away from the hotel we were staying at and when I told a few people that we were going to Pernambuco they suggested that we visited this place and even though it was cloudy and we got a little bit of rain it was so worth it. Tyler did so good on the whole trip which made it even more enjoyable..

We stayed at this restaurant at first, beach front very cute place with some good food.
Peixe na Telha means fish on the tile

We kept seeing people eat this "cheese on stick" and we had to try. Coalha is the type of cheese, the lady had a big block of it and dipped it in oregano and put it on the grill for a few minutes and OMG It was delicious. We got a few more after that, it was so good and Tyler loved it..

One of the nicest thing about going to beach in Brazil is that you can just pay to stay under the umbrella and all the vendors walk by and you can get drinks, coconut waters, food.. whatever you want they bring it to you!

Porto de Galinhas means Port of chicken. During the slavery time the ships would claim to have chickens inside their ships/boats but they were smuggling slaves in. So they kept the name Port of chickens..

We stayed at this little village, it was nice and calm with shops and restaurants...

On this part of the village they had a pretty nice restaurant with live music, it was so relaxing we enjoyed our food and Tyler took a little nap...

The water was super nice, no waves nice and calm...

After Tyler woke up from his power nap he just kept running and running all over the beach, he made a few friends...

This was the last thing we did before heading to my hometown Campo Grande..
If I ever go back to this part of Brazil I will definitely stay in Porto de Galinhas for more than just one day. It was well worth the drive..
