Learning Portuguese

I've been teaching Tyler portuguese but I should be doing more than just movies and music in portuguese.  Since he started school he's speech is getting much better and every night we read several books in English.  Unfortunately I don't have that many books in Portuguese so I decided to make these cards.  

After searching and searching online I managed to put this together .. I tried to incorporate some of the words that he already knows but want him to increase his vocabulary. 

I love these cards Johnny got me, they were perfect for this project.

We just love going up there and let Tyler go crazy and just run around, not watch any tv and just let him be a little boy. He loves it and we love it.. Who wouldn't be going there to visit when baby James is in Arizona. Another reason to go there and see that cutie pie...Here are some pics I took with my phone...

Steff's Bridal shower

Steff's bridal shower turned out to be really cute and we had quite a few people over.
We also had a "photo booth" with some really cute props I bought.. Everyone had fun with that...

Food was good, I made mini fruit pizzas, mini cupcakes (red velvet and oreos), Spinach pecan strawberry salad (made by Jenn), cold sandwiches and some other finger foods..

 The big hit was our Mimosa Bar..  We even got some non-alcoholic champagne for those who didn't drink alcohol and it was a bit hit!!!
We had grapefruit juice, orange juice, mixed berry, mango peach for the juice. And some fruit to garnish the drink.



 

We played a couple games....

Poor Stephanie, I called Emery ahead of time and asked him a few questions... for every question she got wrong she had to chew a bubble gum... 16 questions she missed 10!!..



























Guests left notes for the bride to be on jenga pieces that Steff kept.

I made a raspberry lemon sugar scrub as party favors for the girls.. Sugar scrub
As well as the cups dipped in chalk paint so each person could personalize it with their name and keep it as a souvenir...
We had fun!!!!!!
