Porto de Galinhas, Brazil

I had to break our Brazil trip into parts, since we did a few different tours and visited a few different places. Looking back at the pictures it sure makes me miss Brazil already...

Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco
It was about an hour away from the hotel we were staying at and when I told a few people that we were going to Pernambuco they suggested that we visited this place and even though it was cloudy and we got a little bit of rain it was so worth it. Tyler did so good on the whole trip which made it even more enjoyable..

We stayed at this restaurant at first, beach front very cute place with some good food.
Peixe na Telha means fish on the tile

We kept seeing people eat this "cheese on stick" and we had to try. Coalha is the type of cheese, the lady had a big block of it and dipped it in oregano and put it on the grill for a few minutes and OMG It was delicious. We got a few more after that, it was so good and Tyler loved it..

One of the nicest thing about going to beach in Brazil is that you can just pay to stay under the umbrella and all the vendors walk by and you can get drinks, coconut waters, food.. whatever you want they bring it to you!

Porto de Galinhas means Port of chicken. During the slavery time the ships would claim to have chickens inside their ships/boats but they were smuggling slaves in. So they kept the name Port of chickens..

We stayed at this little village, it was nice and calm with shops and restaurants...

On this part of the village they had a pretty nice restaurant with live music, it was so relaxing we enjoyed our food and Tyler took a little nap...

The water was super nice, no waves nice and calm...

After Tyler woke up from his power nap he just kept running and running all over the beach, he made a few friends...

This was the last thing we did before heading to my hometown Campo Grande..
If I ever go back to this part of Brazil I will definitely stay in Porto de Galinhas for more than just one day. It was well worth the drive..
